Counselling

The Centre for Whole Body Health offers individual counselling for a range of issues, including grief and loss, adjustment to life transitions, relationship challenges, general stress from the pressures of life, and existential concerns such as lack of purpose and meaning in life.

Conversely, people may seek counselling for the purpose of enriching their life, or to deepen awareness of patterns that obstruct them from living a full and meaningful life.

Counselling is an age-old practice that many people have sought in times of need, or when the trials and tribulations of life cause disturbance to their sense of inner equilibrium.

In ancient days the first true counsellors were the philosophers, who provided wise counsel and guidance in effective ways of living that nourished all aspects of the person. In modern days counsellors, psychologists and mental health clinicians provide a supportive role in counselling individuals, couples and families who may be struggling with life’s vicissitudes.

For some people they may experience the tension of seeming to have everything they want or need on the surface, and yet still be experiencing a deeper feeling of dissatisfaction and discontent.

Counselling can facilitate a deeper enquiry into the inner world, and support the person to get in touch with unexplored aspects of themselves that may support them to live a more enriched and congruent life in line with their values.
