Telehealth
What is Telehealth?
Telehealth refers to a healthcare consult conducted via telephone or video conferencing on the internet. It is a convenient and effective way to maintain therapeutic continuity at times when a face-to-face appointment is not possible.
Attending a Telehealth consultation requires little additional preparation which will often be completed in less time than your usual commute to the clinic.
Before attending a Telehealth session, please:
-
Ensure the device you intend to use to connect is fully charged
-
Check the quality of your internet connection or phone reception
-
Identify a private, comfortable space that you will use for your session
-
Prepare your area of choice, such as by collecting and setting up in your space with the following items:
-
A full water bottle
-
Tissues
-
Pillows or a blanket
-
Our clinic recommends video conferencing for Telehealth in the first instance, but phone consults are also available for clients who are unable to attend via video.
If you elect to attend via video, your practitioner will send a link to your video meeting to your email address before your appointment. Please keep an eye out for this and follow the link within the 5 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time.

Your practitioner will then join you when they are ready to begin.
If you elect to attend via phone, your practitioner will call you directly on the phone number you have provided us with when they are ready to begin. Please note that this number may be set to ‘Private.’
