Assessments

As per our philosophy, the assessments we provide are holistic in nature and consider a wide range of factors that may be contributing to the person’s symptoms and situation.

As health professionals we recognise the impact that situational factors, interpersonal challenges, modern day pressures and lifestyle choices can have on a person’s overall mental health and well-being.

A person-centred approach

Our approach is always person centred, ensuring the person is at the heart of our assessment process. We work collaboratively with our clients to develop a shared understanding of the key issues impacting the person’s mental health and well-being, and together develop a therapeutic treatment plan to address these issues.

Our approach to psychological interventions

Our approach to the provision of psychological intervention places the person at the centre of the intervention process and is holistic in nature. The interventions are individually tailored and collaboratively developed with the client to ensure the specific symptoms and difficulties the client is experiencing are appropriately addressed.

Some clients may come to therapy already having an idea of what style of therapy may be of benefit to them, or may have heard about a form of therapy that they are interested in trialling. We are always willing to work with our clients to find a form of therapy that best suits them.

A continual unfoldment

We ensure that the intervention approach is continually reviewed and adjusted according to the person’s response to treatment, effectiveness of the strategies applied, and/or change of their personal, social or environmental circumstances that may impact on treatment progress.
